The 33rd session of the IOC Council of Ministers was held on 12-13 September 2018, at the Maritim Resort and Spa, Balaclava, under the chairmanship of Hon. Lutchmeenaraidoo. The Mauritius delegation was led by Hon E. Sinatambou, Minister of Social Security, National Solidarity, and Environment and Sustainable Development. During the meeting, the members of the Council reviewed progress of the various programmes/projects being implemented by the IOC. The 2017 annual report of the IOC provides an overview of these programmes/projects. The annual report is available on the following link.
The following agreements were signed in the margins of the Council:
a) Financing agreement between the EU and IOC for the E€OFISH programme; and
b) Double Tax Avoidance Agreement between Mauritius and Comoros.
At the end of the Council meeting, Hon Lutchmeenaraidoo handed over the chairmanship of the IOC to HE Mr Vincent Meriton, Vice-President of Seychelles.
