The tenth anniversary commemoration of the horrific terror attacks on Mumbai of November 2008 is a stark reminder of the premeditated and cowardly attacks that took the precious lives of a Mauritian national and those of India as well as several other countries.
Mauritius pays its respectful homage to all those who fell to this senseless rampage and stands in solidarity with India as well as with the families of the victims and survivors.
Mauritius reiterates its strongest condemnation of terrorism in all its hideous forms and manifestations and continues to support efforts and measures of the international community to address terrorism and terrorist acts in a comprehensive manner with a view to stamping out this evil of our times.
Mauritius, indeed, believes that the indiscriminate killing of innocent and defenseless civilians and the destruction targeted by acts of terror have no justification whatsoever in a civilized world.
In joining India in remembrance of these painful hours, Mauritius fully shares her resolve and that of the international community to prevent such horrendous from happening again anywhere and at any time.
