The inaugural session of the African Economic Platform (AEP) will be held in Westin Turtle Bay Resort, Balaclava, from 20 to 22 March 2017. The AEP will institutionalise a new annual platform for African Leaders and create an avenue for dialogue amongst a range of sectors. It brings together in a strategic dialogue the political, academic, intellectual and business leadership of the continent, in order to advance the implementation of the continent-wide development framework, Agenda 2063.
The Right Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Pravind Jugnauth, will address the Opening Session on Monday 20 March.
Several Heads of State, Heads of Government, Ministers and high-ranking officials from across the African Continent are expected to attend the Inaugural session of the AEP.
The four key thematic areas of the Inaugural AEP are:

Theme 2: Intra-African Trade
Theme 3: Industrialisation
Theme 4: Free movement of people and goods
